A designer with an eye (and airbrush) for the fantastic, Pastura, owner of Nick Pastura Motorsports, has created eye-grabbing graphics for such high-profile clients as Guns-N-Roses, the National Hockey League, NASCAR and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His designs have appeared on NHL goalie masks, large concert backdrops, the Discovery Channel and a myriad of automotive and other applications.
A trained auto body man, Pastura originally wanted to be an artist.
"The art classes - that was my gig," says Pastura.
His plans soon changed, though, after he accidentally signed up for a vocational auto body program in high school.
"I learned how to paint and do auto body work," he explains. "After high school, I started working in a body shop."
Never losing the desire to create art, Pastura soon tired of doing what he calls "just the normal body shop things" and started exploring other options. His talent and drive soon led him a position as an illustrator in an art studio for six years.
Pastura has since combined his background in auto body work and illustrations to build a business that created the kind of three-dimensional graphics that keeps customers lined up outside his door.
"The majority of my customers know my work and seek me out," says Pastura. "They pretty much let me do whatever I want."
While Pastura has the luxury of design freedom, he explains, "Customers are focused on winning races and championships. NPM is focused on giving you peace of mind, making your life easier, and looking good! Our reputation to deliver quality products on time is unmatched in the industry!"
